This recipe is so delicious and very easy and quick to put together. I doubled the recipe for 6 people and I am glad I did, because there were hardly any leftovers. I purchased a french bread from the grocery store to save a little time, and used garlic salt instead of fresh garlic for the Texas toast. The "Sloppy Joe" mixture is sweet and spicy and loaded with flavor. Yum!

I was leery of this recipe with blackberry jam but it was great. My husband and 2 teenage boys loved it. Next time I will buy french bread from the bakery though

I love sloppy joes, so this recipe was one I had to try - love the added sweet and hot ingredients - really does make them 'snappy!'

This recipe is truly wonderful because an open-faced sloppy joe done with a kick of jalapeno is a classic redone right. We loved the crunchy, buttery, herby, garlicky Texas Toast topped with the zippy sauteed ground beef and the plop of sour cream was a perfect creamy topping. Loved it!
