Try this delicious, DIY family-size sandwich using freshly baked bread.

Ingredients

can (13.2 oz) Pillsbury™ Simply...™ refrigerated rustic French bread
1/4
cup unsalted butter, softened
1
tablespoon honey

slices smoked ham
1
large tomato, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1
avocado, pitted, peeled and cut into thin slices
1/8
teaspoon salt

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Remove dough from can; place on 13x9inch cookie sheet. Using serrated knife, cut 3 shallow lines across top.
  • 2 Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  • 3 Meanwhile, in small bowl, beat butter and honey with electric hand mixer on medium speed 1 minute. Transfer to small dish; set aside.
  • 4 Cut baked bread lengthwise in half. Spread honey-butter mixture on bottom half of bread. Fold each slice of ham; arrange over honey-butter to resemble a fan. Place tomato slices over ham; place avocado slices over tomato. Season with salt. Cover with top half of bread. Secure sandwich with toothpicks. Cut into 4 sandwiches.

Expert Tips

You can add some spicy brown mustard to your sandwich. It goes great with the ham.

Make a few of these, cut them a little smaller, and create your own sandwich platter. Great for parties and picnics!
