Smoked Almond, Cheddar and Bacon Dip

Ingredients

packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, cubed
3
jars (5 ounces each) process sharp Cheddar cheese spread
1/2
cup milk
1
clove garlic, finely chopped
2
medium green onions, thinly sliced (2 tablespoons)
1/2
cup coarsely chopped canned smoked whole almonds
4
slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
Assorted raw vegetables or breadsticks, if desired

Directions

  1. 1 Heat cream cheese, cheese spread, milk and garlic in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted and smooth. Stir in onions and 1/4 cup of the almonds.
  2. 2 Spoon into 1-quart slow cooker to keep warm if desired or into serving bowl. Sprinkle with bacon and remaining 1/4 cup almonds. Serve with vegetables. Dip will hold in slow cooker on Low heat setting up to 2 hours; stir occasionally. 32 servings (2 tablespoons dip each).
