Fantastic and simple recipe. A hearty stew perfect for a crisp autumn evening. I added three more celery stalks than suggested in the recipe. Definitely a repeat. Next time, will add more carrots too. Prep time is quick, and you just toss the ingredients into the slow cooker, set it, and in about 6 hours you have a delicious stew ready for you.
Does make approximately six servings. I highly recommend eating this with a hearty crusty bread alongside for dipping and soaking up that wonderful mushroom and beef broth.
