Ingredients

RIBS

lb. country-style pork ribs
1
medium onion, sliced
Boiling water

SAUCE

1/2
cup prepared barbecue sauce
1/4
cup grape jelly
1/4
to 1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke

Directions

  1. 1 SLOW COOKER-TO-GRILL DIRECTIONS: Arrange ribs and onion in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Add enough boiling water to just cover ribs.
  2. 2 Cover; cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours. Drain.*
  3. 3 Heat grill. In small saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat just until jelly is melted.
  4. 4 When ready to grill, carefully oil grill rack. Place ribs on gas grill over low heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Brush ribs generously with sauce. Cook 20 minutes or until browned, turning occasionally and brushing with sauce. Discard any remaining sauce.
