small onions, sliced
3-pound beef boneless round steak, trimmed of fat and cut into serving-size portions

envelope (0.87 ounce) brown gravy mix
1
can (12 ounces) vegetable juice
2
medium stalks celery, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1
package (16 ounces) frozen home-style egg noodles

Directions

  1. 1 Place onions in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Arrange beef on onions, overlapping to fit if needed. Sprinkle gravy mix (dry) over beef. Pour vegetable juice over all. Place celery on top.
  2. 2 Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
  3. 3 About 15 minutes before serving, cook noodles as directed on package. Serve sauce, vegetables and beef over noodles.
