Family really did enjoy! This recipe every one liked. I like the way I have another option for cooking brisket now that is a sure way of knowing that the outcome will be tasty! The amount the recipe makes combined with purchasing the brisket on sale can make this recipe inexpensive and good quality for the family.

Although this looks good as it is, do not eat beef. I will be replacing the beef with white meat chicken and with Chicken broth.

This was good and my kids actually ATE the squash! I did make a few changes (I rarely just follow a recipe... too many rules I guess): added more salt, and added fresh cracked pepper directly onto the brisket, then browned before putting into crockpot this sears the seasonings onto the meat and thus into your stew. After I did that I added a pat of butter into the pan and a generous pinch of brownsugar (and a tad more salt) to make a quick glaze, tossed in the squash... just a quick searing of the squash. The glaze will come off into the stew but the slight hint of sweetness behind the savory beef was fab! Fast and easy recipe, Thank you PB.
