Slow Cooker Saucy Orange-Barbecued Chicken

Sweet-and-sour tang makes this chicken dish stand out, while the slow-cook method in place of barbecue makes it easy with faster clean-up.

Did anyone cook this all together in the crock pot? instead of cooking the sauce separately?

This recipe was average at best. Too strong sauce flavor. Not impressed at all. I will not make this again.

This recipe was only ok as it stands a little blandish. However by adding a little honey to make it glaze, and throwing in a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of cloves, it really made it pop. The cloves were the perfect accent spice for the sweet tanginess of the sauce.

I was a liitle unsure at first but this turned out great and everyone went back for more, the chicken was practically falling off the bone. the family is already requesting it again.

This is excellent with breasts. I made this with boneless breasts, and all I did was lightly brown them first.
