Slow-Cooker Honey-Orange Carrots

Ingredients

  • 3 lb carrots, cut diagonally into 3-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel

Steps

    Spray 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, stir together carrots, water and honey. Sprinkle with salt and butter pieces.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 hours. Stir in orange peel.

  • Use a handheld plane grater to quickly grate the orange peel.
