Be sure to rinse the corned beef to get rid of the 'slim' from the brine. Just run under cold water until you don't feel the slim anymore. This might be the cause as to why some folks don't like corned beef. To strong from the brine.

We've made this several times on St. Patty's Day. We had some friends over last year and they loved it-it was their first time having corned beef! The sauce is a must too-but we also like the horseradish one in the other corned beef recipe on this site.

buy the flat cut of corned beef in order to be able to cut it into slices

The recipe was absolutely delicious. The sauce was an added plus to anyone who wants something extra to plain corned beef. Be sure to bu the flat cut of corned beef in order to be able to cut it into thin slices.

I tweaked this recipe a little bit by adding 3 beef bouillons in addition to the beer when cooking the corn beef. It came out really good and the sauce was delicious!

I tried this for St. Paddy's day because my husband has been asking for corned beef for years. I'm not a fan, but this sounded simple so I thought I'd give it a try. I thought the veggies were fine (although I cooked the cabbage separate) but I still did not like the corned beef, although that is a personal preference. My husband enjoyed the meal but I'm hoping I can hold him off a few more years before I make it again for him...haha.

My family loved this recipe. I made this and it was absolutely delicious. I made this for St. Patrick's Day but after my family liking it so much I will make it more often.
