Entertaining? Here's a no-fuss main dish that looks elegant but is actually easy.

this is excellent and couldn't be easier. found that taking chicken out of crock and pouring liquid into small saucepan (then returning chicken to crock to keep warm) and using marsala instead of water to thicken sauce makes all the differnce in this dish. will make again for sure.

Unfortunately I didn't have mushrooms or wine. I used Marsala cooking wine & went easy on salt & omitted mushrooms. Loved it.

I haven't tried this recipe, although I may, but I don't see how they can claim that it only costs 87 cents per serving.

I didn't follow the recipie to the 'T' because we like more seasonings and a thicker sauce. I used 2 tablespoons of minced garlic and a tablespoon of canola oil, placed 6 large pieces of frozen chicken on top and sprinkled them with granulated garlic and pepper. Poured 1.5 cups of chicken broth and half a cup of a sweeter side of red wine. Threw some fresh mushrooms on top and cooked on low for 5 hours. I then followed the directions to thicken the sauce but instead of water use some of the stock you just made. l loved it with mashed potatoes and the stock as the gravy.

I followed the recipe to the letter. It was horrible. I was entertaining and I was embarrassed. It tasted like boiled chicken and it would not thicken. I threw the recipe away. I would give it no stars.

There has to be something that can add some flavor to this otherwise very bland dish ... Simple, yes ... Tasty so so ...

The dish didn't retain the marsala taste after being slowed cooked, and although the chicken was tender it tasted like bolied chicken. I wouldn't make this again.

I thought this recipe was excellent. Very tasty and moist!! I put one can of mushrooms instead of two. I might add 2 cups of wine instead of one!! I am definitely making this again!! Soooooooo simple no brainier recipe!!
