I cook whole chickens in my crockpot all the time. Rinse it off and out and throw it in there. 7-8 hours on low (I have left it in longer many times, too) & you got enuf chicken for whatever you need it for.

These are good but if you don't like HOT then I don't recommend using Texas Pete's Buffalo Sauce! Next time I will try Frank's!

this is great .. nice a siple.. and as for those who say that ranch has no business near anything BUFFALO ... well anyone with that kind of attitude has no business tell us who HATE blue cheese what or how we should eat our food, And I AM FROM BUFFALO!!. Varity is what makes cooking and food great... SO to each is own!!

I make a similar recipe, but instead of just cooking the chicken in...nothing (which is a good way to ruin your crockpot...) I cook it in the hot sauce (Frank's DEFINITELY is the best, and I'm not from anywhere near Buffalo), then shred it, and return to the cooking sauce for a couple of minutes to marinate again. It gets SPICY! I serve it on toasty buns with provolone cheese and there are never leftovers!!

I love using this recipe for my lunch. I prepare the chicken in the sauce on Sunday and I have lunch for the entire week!
