I made this recipe for my husband and parents last night. I followed the recipe exactly and cooked it for nine hours. They were singing my praises! Will definitely make again.

My husband said this recipe needed to be put in my A+ file! I did have to substitute a little to use what I had on hand. I used beef broth instead of wine & used cream of celery soup instead of mushroom soup. I couldn't believe how good it tasted! I steamed broccoli to have on the side. Incredible!

I have rarely used the ingredients in the gravy here, so I thought it would be more interesting than my same old roast in the slow cooker. The taste is terrific but the salt almost makes it inedible. We ate it with noodles, cooked beets, and raw carrots to get some blandness to offset the sodium. I also added sour cream to my plate. I think it needs some tweaking and a tastier substitute or two to make the gravy still tasty but with much less sodium.

Take the time to trim as much fat away as possible, then brown the ribs for a few minutes under the broiler before putting them in the slow cooker. This eliminates most of the fat and works great with fatty meats cooked in a slow cooker.

My family loves this dish, I've made this twice and my daughter and hubby clean their plates. I served mine with rich, as it soaks up all the yummy gravy.

The meat falls off the bone and the gravy is awesome! Try this one, you will love it.

Great recipe! Next time I'll trim the fat off of my ribs better, since the meat completely pulls away from the bone (which made it a little difficult to pick out the fat). Served directly on top of mashed potatoes and was very filling.

This recipe was a definite hit in my house. With just a few ingredients needed, you will probably not need run to the store before you begin. The gravy was delicious, so be sure you have enough noodles or mashed potatoes! Everybody had seconds. I love recipes that are easy to get together yet taste like you spent a lot of time! ;o)
