very good recipe but for the viewer tumestone don't understand where the hard to keep lit comes in at when this is for a slow cooker.

excellent - for variation, use guiness instead of vinegar, use ginger preserves instead of brown sugar. and please use some Brown or A-1 sauce

I used smoked sausage instead. It was good but hard to keep lit.

The cooking time was too long for my slow cooker. The meat fell apart while trying to get it out of the cooker, and it was dry instead of juicy. At that point, people couldn't tell whether it was pork or beef! I'm going to turn the leftovers into pulled pork and add it to a pot of chili.
