Really good but I agree with others, not a crisp.

While it was easy, my family likes more cinnamon.

I have made this several times because it is SOOOO easy & quick and tastes like you spent hours baking. It's an awesome comfort food dessert and great for potlucks too! I have also added fresh cranberries to change it up a little. You could make this with almost anything...peaches, blackberries, mixed berries...just like a cobbler!

My hubby sliced apples while I prepared rest of ingredients, took only 15 minutes to prepare. I used Granny apples and cooked on Low 4 1/2 hrs. Our friends and we loved this hot delicious dessert with Old Fashioned Vanilla ice cream! We'll definitely make it again this winter.

This is so easy and wonderful. Serve it with ice cream of course since it is HOT when you serve it. I put this on at 2PM (my day got away from me) and it was perfect at 7:00 when we served desert. It only takes 4 hours on low to be delicious. A winner for sure!!

I only have a 6 qt. slo cooker. Do you recommend doubling the recipe?
Thanks!

I was excited to see an apple crisp slow cooker dessert. The fragrance in my kitchen with the spices was wonderful. I followed this recipe verbatim and it was awful. The apples were so mushy and there was no "CRISP" in this Praline Apple Crisp. I won't waste my ingredients to make this again -- I was very disappointed.

This was an easy to make dessert that would be perfect for a dinner party since you can throw it in the crock pot while you're preparing the rest of the meal & getting ready. However, the ice cream isn't optional... we ate our first serving without and it definitely needed the cool & creamy component to make this a great dish.
