Ingredients

lb. bacon, diced

cup firmly packed brown sugar

cup cornstarch

teaspoon dry mustard

cup molasses

tablespoon vinegar

(16-oz.) cans baked beans

medium onion, chopped
1
green bell pepper, chopped

Directions

  1. 1 In large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings.
  2. 2 In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, combine bacon, reserved drippings and all remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover; cook on high setting for 1 hour.
  3. 3 Reduce heat to low setting; cook an additional 5 to 7 hours.
