This Halloween have these scary burgers ready in 30 minutes. A delectable combination of ground beef and melted cheese in buns - a perfect appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef round
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 6 slices (1 oz each) American cheese
  • 12 mini burger buns, split

    In 12-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain. Add ketchup, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce and pepper; cover and cook over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Cut each cheese slice in half; cut each half into 8 thin strips. To serve, spoon sloppy joe mixture onto each bun bottom. Place 8 thin cheese slices over sloppy joe mixture to look like spider legs. Cover with bun tops.
