Expert Tips

To make your monkey bread your own, you can add any other of your favorite pizza toppings, like green bell peppers, onions, olives or cooked ground sausage.

Monkey bread is best served freshly baked; however, it can be reheated the next day in a 200°F oven or in the microwave.

I added olives, mushrooms and onions and used Italian sausage instead of pepperoni. Used a combination of Mozzarella and Monterey Jack cheese, as that's what I had on hand. Baked it in my cast iron skillet for about 40 minutes. Very tasty.

we absolutely love this recipe idea. we change it up all the time, adding olives and mushrooms, sometimes jalepenos ever. the BEST part is that it's very kid-friendly. i let them cut the biscuits with the pizza cutter (how fitting is that?) and they love to mix the ingredients. I too have found that we have to bake it longer than it calls for. but hey...that's why I cook I don't "chef". LOL love your products Pillsbury Dough Boy!

These tasted great! We used Chef-Boyardee Pizza sauce (it's what we had on hand.) Also, we used lots of cheese and extra pepperonis on top to crisp up. The cooking time ended up being almost 40 mins for mine. So I had some hungry kids roaming around the kitchen begging for supper! But I'll know to plan it out better next time. And there will definitely be a next time - probably add more meat (sausage, etc)

Have used this recipe a few times now and have enjoyed it. It is great when people pop-in and you want to serve a snack. Teens love it. I like to add things to main receipe- black olives, peppers and onions really dress it up. Also pepperoni.

It has the basic concept but needs some improvements. More flavor as in spices and ingredients. I would try again but add my own seasoning and toppings
