My son is allergic to pecans so instead of a nut filling I used 2/3 cup diced strawberries. Used the same amount of the sugars, butter and cinnamon. Once rolled, next time I think I might put it in the fridge after cutting but before twisting and shaping because the dough was pretty hard to work with. I sprinkled the top with a touch of vanilla sugar and some slivered almonds... cooked about 25 minutes covered with foil and let sit 5 minutes. Oh my god! These were so incredibly good, the filling turned into a thick yummy jelly almost and the top was sweet & flaky & crunchy. Yum!!!

Very yummy. We did not make the "glaze" but the rolls were still very sticky and sweet. I made a few changes... We grated apples into the filling. Also we used walnuts instead of pecans, since we had it in the house. I had Splenda brown sugar and mixed it with regular sugar:-))))))))

I love sweets. With that said, these rolls are EXTREMELY sweet! The filling almost becomes candied. While I will make them again, I will probably make some adjustments--add raisins, reduce the sugars in the filling and I did add about 1/4tsp of vanilla to the icing. Dough was very easy and fun to work with. I pressed the dough out on a sheet of wax paper & used a pizza cutter to cut the strips. I did't lose any filling while twisting the strips or rolling them up. Baking in a glass 9x13 pan sprayed with Pam took 20 minutes. These are almost more like a danish than a roll.

Very good and nice presentation. My husband loves raisins, so I added some. Also added cinnamon to the icing. I cut mine into 16 strips instead of 8 so they are a little smaller but just enough for a sweet treat.

These are DELICIOUS! I didn't follow the instructions on rolling them... big mistake! they unrolled and turned into piles of dough. Oh well, they were still really good. I suggest using less powdered sugar than requires in both the mix and glaze. Also in the glaze I added vanilla, some cinnamon and brown sugar. :)

Absolutely wonderful! I added just a bit of vanilla to the icing. My family is already looking forward to the next batch. I suppose we really should wait a day or so to make these again. Don't know if we can wait that long tho! ingridr9, the cream cheese icing sounds great! I think we'll try that too.

So good ... doesn't even need the drizzle.
