I made this recipe for my husband and I and we enjoyed it a lot. The second time I made it, I sauteed the shrimp in butter and garlic and stirred it in with the rest of ingredients just before servings. It gave it much more flavor, I also added a little extra chicken stock.%0d%0a%0d%0aBarb 03/24/09

Great recipe. I substituted broccoli and spiced cooked mushrooms. My husband gave it high marks and the kids said they would want it again. At my house that is a HUGE accomplishment.

I do not like the texture and I find the sauce bland.%0d%0a %0d%0aSuggestions: Saute a small onion. Chop a clove of garlic with 1/4 teaspoon salt, and let garlic sit for 20 minutes. Then add onion and garlic to cream sauce. Also, in the sauce, add 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and some grated lemon rind. I would also add several tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley. If I had white wine or sherry handy, I would add at least a tablespoon as well.

I made this for myself and my boyfriend last night and it was a huge hit! SO easy to make but Pullsbury was right - it tastes gourmet! Next time, I might bread the shrimp before tossing them in with the linguine for a little extra crunch. Enjoy!
