Shepherd's Pie with Biscuit Crust

4: cans Pillsbury biscuits

1 1/2: to 2 lb ground beef

12: servings of instant potatoes

3: cups instant beef gravy

8: oz pkg shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

1 Preheat to 350 degrees.
2 Make instant potatoes according to microwave directions on box, EXCEPT swap the measurements for the milk and water. OMIT salt and water. Keep warm.
3 Brown ground beef until crumbly. Drain and rinse under hot water. Keep warm.
4 Make gravy according to package. Keep warm.
5 Open each can of biscuits onto cutting board. Slice whole roll down center length, turn roll and slice again.
6 Layer all in a 13x9-inch pan the following way: All of the potatoes, ground beef, cheese then gravy.
7 Pull apart all the dough pieces one by one and top the casserole completely.
8 Bake casserole in 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes.

Always wanted to know how to add biscuits to my Shepherds pie and tried this it turned out sooooo goood!!! Just didnt add gravy but next time I try that one cuz it sounds good.

Some tasty dough close to the cheese will be hot but not baked completely. Bake an additional 5-10 minutes to liking. Alternately, if in a hurry, you can place biscuits whole on top of casserole and then bake. Its definitely better tho with the dough pieces!
