Sesame Flank Steak

cup dry red wine

tablespoons sesame oil

teaspoons grated gingerroot

teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 Score steak diagonally across grain on both sides, forming diamond pattern. In shallow dish or resealable plastic food storage bag, combine wine, oil, gingerroot, pepper and garlic; mix well. Add steak; turn to coat. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes to marinate, or refrigerate several hours or overnight.
  • 2 Spray broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Remove steak from marinade; place steak on sprayed pan. Discard marinade.
  • 3 Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
