Ingredients

package (16 oz) cavatappi pasta

lb bulk Italian pork sausage

large onion, chopped (1 cup)

cup chopped red bell pepper
3/4
cup chopped yellow bell pepper

cloves garlic, finely chopped
2
jars (24 oz each) tomato pasta sauce
3/4
cup shredded Parmesan cheese (3 oz)

Directions

  1. 1 Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Return to saucepan.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium heat, stirring frequently, until no longer pink; drain. Remove sausage from skillet. Add onion and bell peppers; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Add garlic; cook and stir 1 minute. Add pasta sauce and sausage; simmer uncovered 3 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  3. 3 Add sausage mixture to pasta in saucepan; toss to coat. Sprinkle individual servings with cheese.
