Ingredients

1: bone-in turkey breast (6 to 6 1/2 lb)

1/2: cup chopped onion

1/2: cup chopped celery

1: bay leaf

1: teaspoon salt

1/2: teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

1: teaspoon chicken bouillon granules

1/2: cup water

Directions

1 Remove gravy packet or extra parts from turkey breast. Place onion, celery and bay leaf in cavity of turkey. Place turkey in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
2 In small bowl, mix bouillon and water until dissolved. Pour over turkey.
3 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 9 hours. Remove and discard bay leaf before serving.

Any leftover turkey is great for that old "comforting" hot turkey sandwich. Heat slices of turkey and a jar of gravy until hot. Serve over slices of whole grain bread, and if you like, a side of mashed potatoes.
