Sausage Mushroom Biscuit Pie

Easy as pie but tasty as sausage and mushrooms! The whole family, even my 3-yr-old enjoyed this.

can (12 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® Jr. Golden Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits
1
lb. ground turkey breakfast sausage
1
lg. can sliced mushrooms
1
can Cream of Mushroom soup
7
slices Colby-Jack cheese

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch pie pan with nonstick cooking spray. Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Press 6 biscuits in bottom and up side of pie pan to form crust. Cut remaining 4 biscuits into quarters; set aside.
  • 2 In skillet, cook ground sausage over medium heat, stirring frequently, until meat is thoroughly cooked. Spoon into biscuit-lined pan and spread evenly.
  • 3 Cover meat with layer of mushrooms and then soup and spread evenly.
  • 4 Arrange cheese slices on top of mixture.
  • 5 Place biscuit quarters, point side down, around edge of hot sausage mixture.
  • 6 Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
