"Sausage", Egg & Cheese Bread

This quick and easy breakfast bread can be made ahead of time and is a family favorite. Made with meatless sausage and reduce fat cheese, the calories and fat are reduce without losing the flavor!

package of Gimme Lean® Sausage
2
packages of Pillsbury Crescent - One Flaky Dough Sheet
4
eggs
1 1/2
cups reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
1/4
cup of chopped onion

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 425. Spray cookie sheet & skillet with non-stikck spray.
  • 2 Brown sausage & onion 9-11 min & crumble sausage. If needed chop sausage slightly after browing.
  • 3 Place each dough sheet approx 2in apart on cookie sheet. Spoon mixture in the middle of the dough.
  • 4 Sprinkle cheese down on top of each of the sausage & onion mixtures.
  • 5 Cut slits on an angle down the sides of dough sheet & braid slits back over the top of the mixture.
  • 6 Fold the dough over the ends to 'seal' the end of the bread.
  • 7 Bake in the oven for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
