Can these be made ahead of time and kept in the frig till the next morning? That would make it a quick and easy breakfast.

I have made these several times and everyone loves them. I bought Texas muffin non-stick pans so you have to increase most of the ingredients.

I have made these and they are yummy. But I have a question: I am going on a weekend trip and wanted to make the mixture ahead of time and keep in cooler on way to cabin, then store in fridge til next morning. Would this work? That way when we wake up we can just stuff em and cook em.

Love this idea! I would add fresh garlic, onions and bell peppers to this. Sounds good and I will probably make this to take to the NASCAR race this Labor Day weekend.

I make these ahead and freeze. Make sure and place in an airtight container. 1 min in the microwave and my daugher has a tasty breakfast she can take on the run.

You can always use up the extra sausage and hashbrowns that are left after using the small amounts for this recipe, both freeze well so that shouldn't be a problem. It was a challenge to make but a nice surprise for my family when served (I forced them to stay out of the kitchen!). My family loved them! The only thing I would do differently is add a big of shredded cheese between the layers of egg/potato and sausage mix.

Make sure you have lots of time and patience before you begin. I had my husband come in and help. Way to much effort. Really who wants to work this much this early in the morning. I should have been warned when I saw 1/2 cup of potatoes. I now have to make something to use up the bag of potatoes.

I added a little onion to the sausage whenever I browned it and also added cheddar cheese to the top during the last few minutes of baking. They are great to make-ahead and store in the refrigerator then pop in the microwave for a few seconds when ready to eat. Thanks for a great recipe.

Made these for a breakfast book club and everyone loved them! They were so good, I made more and put them in the freezer for a quick, delicious breakfast.
