It sounds good, but I live in an area that ranks among the top ten in the US for the percentage of Italian residents and calzones are ALWAYS made with pizza dough. Since pie crust is being used, "sausage and roasted pepper pie" would be more accurate. The Italian "pies" I am more accustomed to use pie crust and a filling of ricotta with sausage, bologna, or pepperoni. A less common variation called "spaghetti pie" uses a crust made of spaghetti, butter or olive oil, and parmesan.

This is really good, have been looking for the recipe for some time. It does take a while to assemble but family raved. Biggest problem is finding pine nuts in my area.
