I couldn''t find the dough that is in a log, but I found it in pre-rounded sheets, 2 per package. I cut the sheets in half long way and then in thirds. Then, I took 1/3 and cut it in half again to use for the roofs. I thought that worked great. I was able to make 8 houses out of 1 package of dough. The kids loved it and can''t wait to decorate them.

Just wanted to give some input.... This recipe is FANTASTIC, my wife and kids loved them, although the kids ate more while helping than after the houses were done!! Anyway just wanted to say the results were perfect, and many people loved them. This will become a annual family moment for christmas!!
