Wonderful! Tried this, brought it to work, and I am the most popular person in the office right now! Everyone raved. To all the healthy haters who try to discourage trying this recipe: We don't eat like this every day. It's a TREAT. Life's too short, lighten up, have a piece of pie, and smell the roses.

Delicious! I didn't have spanish peanuts on hand so I used cocktail peanuts. Because the peanuts were salted I didn't add the salt on top and everyone raved over this pie. I agree with josiejo .... needed the extra chocolate on top!

Couldn't find the typical Kraft square caramels I assume were what this recipe intended so bought 3 bags of Werther's chewy caramels (5.5 oz each) and used them all and it turned out GREAT!! I also thought one choc bar was a little skimpy on top, so I used two!

I am NOT a baker by nature but a co-worker sent me this with a message saying "make this and bring it to work". Not one to back down from a challenge, I did and it was RAVED over at work! As for the recipe, I couldn't find the square caramels that I assume were what was intended so I bought 3 bags of Werther's chewy caramels that are 5.5 oz/bag and I used them all which was more than the 14 oz called for and it wasn't a problem. I also used 2 choc bars for topping as 1 just wasn't enough for me. Can't wait to make it again!!! Super yummy!!!

As this is a review site and if you didn't make it, you shouldn't post a comment. Preach somewhere else. I made this pie and it is wonderful, sinfully so and we all need a slice of heaven now and then. It's also relatively easy and a showstopper. This pie is fantastic and those that you share it with will thank you and beg for more.

So many compulsive complainers! This is an AMAZING recipe...anyone who bakes know calories. Rather than trying to ruin the recipe for others, why not keep the comments to your self and let those who enjoy baking and have tried the recipe share the reviews...Makes for happy baking!

PLEASE, PEOPLE!! WHAT AN UNHEALTHY RECIPE!! Look at the calorie count, and the carb count!! This is why the obese people in America are being told to change their eating habits. Might taste yummy, but more than a forkful is bad for us. Please keep recipes tasty, and yet on the healthier side. (I'm not even going to say that my husband and I are both diabetic, controlling by diet and oral meds; just looking at the picture raised our blood sugars, I think.)

the only time we have used spanish peanutss is to made peanut brittle. these nuts are raw. so, in this recipe are the spanish peanuts raw or the ready to eat variety?

Absolutely delicious. I read reviews because I want to know how the dish tastes and how easy or hard it is to prepare, not because I need to know how many calories are in it. I can read that for myself and so can everyone else who chooses to prepare it.
