Dough was VERY dry & crumbly & hard to shape into balls because pieces kept falling off. But once baked, the family loved them & most disappeared in one night.

I thought it was a little to dry so next time i make these i'll add less flour. The taste was very good. They were easy to make.

very good cookie, I like to add extra nuts(nut mixture)-pecans, walnut, and peanuts.

I made a few batches of these before Christmas as part of cookie trays I always make. I ended up sharing your recipe with a few of the recipients - better yet, I loved them too! The dough did seem a bit dry and I had a little trouble forming the cakes; don't get me wrong - they were certainly worth it!!!

I was amazed at how great these turned out. I made several of the cookies on this site the other night and this one was the best hands down!

A little too floury said: report Posted: 12/18/2007 10:53:06 AM
I made a batch. It tasted a little too floury for my taste. I would probably put in 1/4 cup flour instead of 1/2 cup. I used all-purpose flour.

They were pretty easy to make but really difficult to figure out when they were done. They felt set but were slightly uncooked in the middle but now two days later, they are very dry even after stored in tupperware. Good cookie when fresh but it would never be my 'fall back' cookie in a pinch. I agree with the taste being a little too Pillsbury sugar cookie.

When I'm down to the wire for a gathering like I was last week, this recipe was perfect timing. Easy and delicious! And it was a big hit with all my friends. This recipe will definitely go to #1 spot in my cookie book.
