Ingredients

lb extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef

can (15.5 or 15 oz) kidney beans, drained, rinsed

can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

can (6 oz) tomato paste

cups cold water

teaspoons chili powder

Directions

  1. 1 In 3-quart nonstick saucepan or Dutch oven, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain if necessary.
  2. 2 Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot.
