Heat oven to 350ºF. In large bowl, break up cookie dough. Stir in coconut, chopped pecans and rum extract (dough will be stiff).
Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Press cherry half in center of each cookie.
Bake 9 to 13 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
