Tamija, if you add the jello, I would not add the cocoa....

This is such a beautiful cake! Cant wait to make it for my Tuesday night homeless dinner!! I was thinking of adding the blue jello powder to the cake mix so it would taste like blue raspberry. Do you think it would work?

Just made this and in spite of using all the right colors, my cake came out to be a blue green. My family loves the look and we are taking it to a summer BBQ, so will be perfect!

Made this for July 4th, layered with a white layer and a red velvet layer. But my blue did not turn out royal at all - not sure why. I have the Wilton colors - perhaps there is a different type of color that would work better. Tasted good, and blue enough for people to 'get the drift' of my patiotic cake! :-)

My daughter and I made this cake for the Royal Wedding. The cake and icing were extremely easy to make, and turned out great. Everyone enjoyed it, and the kids loved the royal blue color. I would definitely make this again.

I have to say blue cake does nothing for my appetite. Kids might find this a fun thing to eat. I will try it just because I love red velvet cake.
