oz. (2 1/4 cups) uncooked macaroni rings

tablespoons margarine or butter

cup chopped onion

(10 3/4-oz.) can condensed tomato soup
4
oz. (1 cup) shredded American cheese
1/2
cup water

Directions

  1. 1 Cook macaroni to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, melt margarine in large saucepan. Add onion; cook and stir until crisp-tender. Reduce heat; stir in soup, cheese and water. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3 Stir in cooked macaroni; cook until thoroughly heated.
