Ingredients

all-vegetable protein patties (3.2 oz each)

slices caraway rye bread
1/4
cup Thousand Island dressing

cup sauerkraut, drained, rinsed

slices (1 1/2 oz each) Swiss cheese, halved
1/4
cup margarine or butter, softened

Directions

  1. 1 Make patties as directed on package.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, spread one side of each bread slice with dressing.
  3. 3 Layer 4 bread slices with patties, sauerkraut and cheese. Cover each with remaining bread slice, dressing side down. Spread tops of sandwiches with margarine.
  4. 4 Heat medium skillet over medium heat until hot. Place 2 sandwiches at a time, margarine side down, in skillet; spread tops of sandwiches with margarine. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, turning once, until cheese is melted and sandwiches are thoroughly heated.
