Made an error on my statement of measurement - should have said you don't need 3/4 cups each of cinnamon and sugar...1 cup total should be plenty.

Hot tasty mess! First you don't need 1/3 cup each cinnamon and sugar. 1/3 to 1 cup total cinnamon sugar mixture would be plenty. I would dip the biscuits in the butter & cinnamon sugar before baking. I think they would look more appetizing. I tried the pastry bag and it was not a hit with me, however I don't think putting the filling in a blaster would be very easy. Might try using a funnel to fill it. Plus I would just call these cinnamon jelly biscuits, not donuts. Overall, tasty.

I made these and was surprised how super easy it was!! One of the easiest things that I have made in a long time! I sent my hubby to the store to buy a baster, but they were out so what he did was buy the reusable ketchup/mustard squeezers and I filled it with the raspberry preserves. With the smaller tip it was easier to use and I didn't have to refill it at all.

A baster sounds like a piece of special equipment. I would just use a pastry bag. I have to agree with yoyo1198 that they should be fried.

Have made these before for my jelly donut loving husband and he definitely gave it a thumbs up. Delicious!

These sound yummy! Has anyone tried to freeze them yet?
If so, how did you reheat them and were they as good as freshly made?
Thanks!

I've got to agree with Maximillian here. Don't see how this would pass for a doughnut. Now maybe if it was fried? It might be tasty, but a doughnut it ain't. Perhaps Pillsbury should rename it?

These were SO good! I'm not really a jelly doughnut lover, but the flavor of these with the cinnamon-sugar/butter combo was amazing! My husband and kids scarfed them up before they even had a chance to cool!
