I think the reason the cookies turned out so big is that you should slice very thin and the roll it out some before you bake. Just an idea.

I made this for g'kids for Easter treats but didn't realize they become humongous when they baked. It was like the pillsbury dough boy rabbit. Any hints on how I can keep these sugar cookies a decent size when baking. At Christmas my trees looked like marshmallows puffs.

These turned out looking like bears or racoorns instead of rabbits. I followed the directions to a T too. These were disappointing!

For anyone making these cookies a suggestion. I made these last easter and was excited to make a fun treat with my then 2 and a half year old daughter. These "bunnies" looked like cats. The dough spread twice the size and I followed the directions perfectly. The modified recipe tells you to roll dough sections into balls and then flatten and shape. That sounds much better than before but since the dough spreads so much and the bunnies end up looking like cats, I am going to try this again this year using half of the dough for each cookie that the recipe states. Instead of 8 cookies, I will make 16 and reduce baking time.

This is a very easy recipe to follow, and fun for the little ones to eat. I had a great time decorating them with my two grandsons.
