Hearty turkey and pasta tetrazzini- dinner ready in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients

oz. uncooked spaghetti
1
teaspoon margarine or butter
1
garlic clove, minced
1 1/2
cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 1/2
cups skim milk
2
tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4
cup garlic and herbs light soft spreadable cheese
1/4
cup shredded fresh Parmesan cheese
2
cups chopped cooked turkey

Steps

  • 1 In Dutch oven or large saucepan, cook spaghetti to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; return to Dutch oven.
  • 2 Meanwhile, melt margarine in medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Add mushrooms; cook 1 minute.
  • 3 In small bowl, combine milk and flour; blend well.* Add to mushrooms in saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly and thickened. Add spreadable cheese and 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan cheese; cook and stir until cheeses are melted. Stir in turkey.
  • 4 Add sauce to cooked spaghetti; toss over low heat until well mixed. Sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese.

Expert Tips

* To dress up recipe, prepare milk and flour mixture using 1 1/4 cups milk; add 1/4 cup dry sherry with cheeses. Garnish tetrazzini with chopped fresh parsley.
