Quick Peach Cobbler

Peach pie filling and baking mix speed up the preparation of classic cobbler.

Ingredients

can (21 oz) peach pie filling

cups frozen sliced peaches, thawed
1
cup baking mix
1
tablespoon sugar
1/4
cup milk
1
tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
Additional sugar, if desired
Ground nutmeg, if desired
  • 1 In ungreased 8-inch square pan, spread pie filling and sliced peaches; place in cold oven. Heat oven to 400°F; let pie filling and peaches heat 10 minutes.
  • 2 Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix baking mix, 1 tablespoon sugar, the milk and butter with fork until soft dough forms.
  • 3 Remove pan from oven. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto warm peach mixture. Sprinkle with additional sugar and nutmeg.
  • 4 Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until topping is light brown.
