Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (14 1/2-oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 oz. (1 1/3 cups) uncooked rotini (spiral pasta)

Steps

    Heat oil in 12-inch skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef strips; cook and stir 3 to 5 minutes or until browned.

    Add all remaining ingredients except rotini; mix well. Bring to a boil. Add rotini. Reduce heat to medium; cook 10 to 15 minutes or until rotini is tender, stirring occasionally.
