Ingredients

3: cups flour

2: tsp baking soda

2: tsp baking powder

1: tsp salt

3: tsp cinnamon

1 1/4: cup oil

4: eggs

2: cups sugar

2: cups mashed pumpkin

1 1/3: cup chocolate chips

1/4: cup butter

Directions

1 Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together in large bowl.
2 In a seperate bowl, whip together oil and eggs. Add sugar, pumpkin and 1 cup chocolate chips. Combine with flour mixture.
3 Pour in bunt pan and bake for 65-70 minutes at 350ºF. Glaze with 1/3 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup butter.

sooooo much oil in this recipe! Substitute applesauce for 1/2 the oil and you won't know the difference. This cake is a great after-school snack, and my daughter loves it.

I do not have a tip but I do want to thank the author for posting this recipe. My mother used to make this cake every holiday season and after she passed away I was unable to get the recipe. Finding this recipe means the world to me I am so excited to make this cake for my family this Thanksgiving.

This cake usually comes out of the oven with an uneven top. Before removing from pan, use large bread knife to cut the cake across the top to even it out. Delicious quick snack.
