Excellent cheesecake with both plain and pumpkin layers. The cardamom adds a delicious flavor to the pumpkin. I added the spiced rum to the caramel sauce. To die for.......... EVERYONE asked for the recipe. The pan of water and letting the cheesecake remain in the oven after baking worked: no cracks!

This recipe was a hit. A friend at work asked me to "test" it out before he made it for Thanksgiving. I exchanged the cheesecake for the recipe book, which I have already made 3 other things out of!
