can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ fire roasted tomato cooking sauce

cup yellow mustard

tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

tablespoons sugar

teaspoon chili powder

cups shredded deli rotisserie chicken*

soft burger buns, split

container (14 oz) prepared coleslaw, if desired

  • 1 In 3-quart saucepan, mix cooking sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and chili powder. Heat to simmering over medium-high heat. Stir in chicken. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 Serve 1/2 cup chicken mixture on each bun. Top each with 2 tablespoons coleslaw.

I think it's a bright idea; but I intend to do it myself without the extra add ons. Not for me. I will add my ideas as I prepare my chicken, I love to experiment anyway! But I do like that idea of a "different" chicken sandwich! I will make my into sliders. Easier, & we don't eat that much! Thank you.

I was quite disappointed in this recipe. I thought it would have had a more BBQ flavor, considering the addition of the mustard and Worchestershire sauce. But the Progresso soup was so strong - it was more of a tomatoe-y chicken. I ended up pulling out the chicken, shaking off all the soup that I could and re-heating, using my own BBQ sauce. Recipe was fast but flat.

This was quite easy, but I found that the sauce was quite overwhelming and overpowered the chicken. I will amend it to make it more BBQ-flavored (with vinegar) if I try it again.

Very tasty and easy and great for left over chicken!!! Also a great party dish... I will definitely do this again...
