Pull-Apart Apple Ring

Wrap apple slices in Pillsbury® Grands!® Jr. Golden Layers® biscuits and bake over walnuts to make this delicious pull apart bread.

Ingredients

cup apple jelly
1/4
cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2
cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2
teaspoon cinnamon

large apple, peeled

(12-oz.) cans Pillsbury® Grands!® Jr. Golden Layers® refrigerated biscuits
1/4
cup margarine or butter, melted

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 12-cup fluted tube cake pan. Spoon apple jelly evenly over bottom of greased pan; sprinkle with walnuts. In small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Cut apple into quarters; remove core. Slice each quarter into 5 slices.
  • 2 Separate dough into 20 biscuits; flatten each slightly. Wrap 1 biscuit around each apple slice; pinch edges to seal and completely cover apple slice. Dip each in margarine; roll in brown sugar-cinnamon mixture. Stand biscuits on end in greased pan. Drizzle with any remaining margarine; sprinkle with any remaining brown sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  • 3 Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool upright in pan 8 minutes; invert onto serving plate. Spoon any additional topping over baked ring. Serve warm.

Loved this, have made several times, and shared with a bunch of people. Found had to double the sugar, cinn, butter. At one point, used the regular sized flaky biscuits, and used almost 2 apples. Was still yummy!!!

My 14 year old son made this recipe by his self and the entire ring was eaten in one sitting between 6 people. We koved it. It definately is a keeper!!!

This was SO good! I made it for a Thanksgiving dessert and it was a huge hit!!! Gooey & delicious!

Awsome!!I thought this would be to sweet with the apple jelly along with the brown sugar, I think the apple (Granny Smith) cut the sweetness of these rolls. I also added a few raisins inside the biscuits & that was great. Will definately make these again. I only had 1 can of biscuits, so, I make them in a glass pie plate, & that was plenty for me & my husband. Thanks for the recipe.
