Pork and Polenta with Chunky Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

to 4 lb country-style pork loin ribs

cup chopped onion

medium carrots, chopped (1 cup)

medium stalks celery, chopped (1 cup)

jar (1 lb 10 oz) tomato pasta sauce

teaspoon salt
1/8
teaspoon pepper
1
package (24 oz) cooked polenta

Directions

  1. 1 Set oven control to broil. Place pork ribs on broiler pan. Broil with top about 6 inches from heat 12 to 14 minutes, turning once, until lightly browned.
  2. 2 Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In cooker, place onion, carrots and celery. Place pork on vegetables. Pour pasta sauce over pork; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. 3 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 7 to 8 hours.
  4. 4 About 15 minutes before serving, make polenta as directed on package. Place polenta on individual serving plates; serve with pork and sauce.
