Steps

  • 1
Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage, bell pepper and onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until sausage is no longer pink and vegetables are tender; drain. Stir in 3 tablespoons of the pizza sauce.

If using crescent rolls: Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 8 rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal. If using dough sheets: Unroll both cans of dough; cut into total of 8 rectangles.
  • 3
Place about 1/4 cup sausage mixture and folded 1/2 slice of cheese on one end of each rectangle. Fold dough in half over filling; press edges with fork to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4
Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, heat remaining pizza sauce. Immediately remove sandwiches from cookie sheet. Serve warm with warm pizza sauce.
