can Pillsbury™ refrigerated thin pizza crust

lb bulk reduced fat pork sausage

medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4
teaspoon fennel seed, crushed, if desired

to 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

package (8 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms (3 cups)

cup pizza sauce
1/2
cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese (2 oz)

tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 400° F. Grease 12-inch pizza pan. Unroll dough; place in greased pan. Starting at center, press out dough to edges of pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until crust begins to brown.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, heat 10-inch skillet over medium high heat. Add sausage, onion, bell pepper, fennel, and red pepper; cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until sausage is browned. Add mushrooms; cook 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, just until mushrooms are tender and sausage is no longer pink. Drain.
  3. 3 Spoon pizza sauce evenly over crust. Arrange sausage mixture over sauce; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  4. 4 Bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Remove from oven; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
