We used refrigerated canned biscuits. We cut the center out of the biscuits. We deep fried both the doughnut and the holes. Tossed them in sugar and enjoyed.

We used refrigerated biscuits when I was a kid during the 50's. Since I was a working mom these treats were saved for snow days or Saturday mornings. Great memory making recipe as the kids got to shake the bag. We had two sacks, one with cinnamon and sugar and the other with powdered sugar. Still works with my grandkids.

My Mom made these when I was 5 and I am 54 yrs old now! She made her own dough but everything else she did was the same as this! She called this "Squaw Bread". Great childhood memory

I made these when my kids were very young. Back in the 60's. I used regular biscuit dough. Used a sm. bottle and made holes in the center of the biscuit. We had reg. donuts and holes. We but power suguar on some and choc. and cinnamon and sugar. Everyone had a job to do and it made for a great sunday morning treat.

I thought these were very good. Of course, not the same you'd find in a Donut Shop, but very tasty in a pinch. In fact, I've made them twice. So quick & easy to make. Taste best eaten hot & fresh.

OMG! I just made these as a treat for my hubby and he ate them up in a couple of minutes!!! They are so good and Very EASY TO MAKE! We made Cinnamon Sugar, Sugar, and Powdered Sugar ones! =]

These are very good and very easy..saw a cooking show on the food channel and she used pillsbury bisquits and cut each into 4. I have made these a few times, and now my daughter makes them.

This was so easy and delicious! I think I may try with a different flavor next time, maybe more pizza flavor like parm cheese and garlic. Overall fantastic! Will definitely be making these again!

The receipe does not explain how to turn pizza dough into little donut holes... When I clicked on the blog link, it did not take me the video.
