My grandson has many food allergies and the pie crust is the only product that he can have. What can you substitute the pie crust for? any suggestions?

Your pizza calzone was excellent. It tasted crispy and delicous. The pizza calzone was as good as a hot fudge on a ice cream sundae.

Very good, will definately make again.I sprinled italian seasoning, oregano, and parmesan cheese on the top crust just before putting it in the oven.I had a little trouble with top crust but maybe it was to warm to work with but in the end the results were delicious. My mistake I give it 4 and 3/4 stars.

Flatten both pizza crusts out on the pan (separately) before adding the filling. This way after layering the fillings, the top crust will already be ready to go on. Also, adding garlic salt and garlic pepper to the pizza sauce adds flavor.

I used thinly sliced stringy onions and bell peppers, pepperoni (paper thin), Genoa Salami (paper thin slices. I used fresh mushrooms sliced (not so thing) and sauteed the mixture lightly. I dumped the mixture on top of paper towels and dabbed off the oil. Spread the mixture on the crust. Then I topped it with Mozzarella and sprinkled parmesian cheese - sprinkled a few sliced black olives. After I had put on the top crust and pinched. I brushed the top with more black olives and a sprinkling of parmesian cheese. I took a butter knife and pressed an indentation so that the four slices would be more well defined. All came out great.

We love this recipe. My husband and kids beg for me to make it. We load all of our favorite pizza topping on and tons of cheese. One thing we changed in making this recipe is that we cut the pieces into strips. the strips are better for dunking and small fingers! I recommend everyone try this recipe!
